There are 3 layers of an
Alumi-Guard metal photo asset tag. On the lowest layer, it is the thin
aluminum sheet. This is very rigid and won't peel, crack or delaminate.
On this aluminum layer the
image and text is embedded. The image or text are actually
metalic silver particles that can hold extreme heat and sunlight exposure. This is the reason why
Alumi-Guard metal asset tags have
long life.
The top layer is
anodized layer. This is a clear layer so that you are able to see through it. It is actually glass-clear, sapphire-hard anodized layer which resists chemicals, paint, abrasion and dirt.
Competitive plates fade faster in the sun, often within months. These plates are the
standard in the military. They meet UL File #MH17767, CSA File #1113-1, Class #7921, Fed.
Spec GGP-455b, Type I&II, Grade A or B, Mil-P-15024F, Mil-P-514D, Mil-P-19834B and Mil-A-8625E.
